eBay Partner Network Newsletter
June 2008

Welcome to the first eBay Partner Network Newsletter!

It’s designed to keep you up to date with developments on the eBay Partner Network platform, such as new tools and reports - this month, we’re announcing the launch of eBay To Go. It’s an international newsletter, so we’ll have news from the eBay affiliate programs around the world, such as the Australian pricing increase and the French and US teams’ attendance at Ad Tech in this issue. We’ll be searching the globe to bring you case studies from affiliates of all different types, sizes and nationalities, so you can benefit from their success. From time to time, we’ll also be letting you know what’s new on the eBay sites, including site developments and hot categories, with the aim of helping you to make even more commission!

Hope you find it useful,

The eBay Partner Network Team

A busy month for the eBay affiliate teams around the world.

The eBay affiliate teams around the globe were very busy last month, meeting literally hundreds of affiliates. We attended the Ad Tech events in both Paris and San Francisco, and the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance (PESA) summit in New Orleans. More than 3000 people attended the Paris exhibition and over 5000 in San Francisco, with the eBay Partner Network stand proving very popular, (possibly helped by the eBay France team giving away a Nintendo Wii to two lucky competition winners!) At the PESA summit many of you were asking us question about how as a seller you can be also be an eBay affiliate and you can see this month’s blog post for more information on this.

Attending these events is a great opportunity to answer your questions and hear your feedback and suggestions for the future, so across the next few months, we’re again going to be out and about. Look out for us at the eBay Developer’s Conference on June 16th-17th (see below), eBay Live in Chicago on 19th to 21st June and at the A4U expo in London on 14th to 15th October. If you’re going to any of these events, make sure you come and visit the eBay Partner Network stand – we always like to get to know our affiliates in person. We will also be hosting a booth at the virtual eComXpo on July 9th-10th again given its 8000+ attendance last year – if you haven’t seen it, check it out!

eBay Partner Network - the first few months

Although it’s hard for the team here to believe, the eBay Partner Network launched almost two months ago at the beginning of April. We know that we had a few teething issues in the first couple of weeks, mainly to do with reporting, but generally we’ve had really positive feedback, particularly around the clean and intuitive UI, the easy sign up process and the global reach of the Network.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for registering, driving traffic and for your continuing support - we really appreciate it and we’re very happy you’re on board. Also, thanks for all the suggestions for future builds that we’ve received both in person and on the discussion boards – your input is invaluable when it comes to keeping the Network continually evolving, so please keep it coming!
