The Concept

Try to, from September 1st to September 30th include, ramp up sufficiently the total number of qualifying transactions (based on those generated from July 1st to 31st 2008) , OR reach the highest threshold and get the corresponding bonus !

Qualifying transactions for the eBay Fr program are new active users and first bid or buy-it-now, (see eBay FR program details). This promotion is applicable to both types of qualifying transactions. See the according grids below:

Bonus structure

Earn a bonus depending on the difference between new active users generated in July and September 2008, according to the following grid:

If you generate more than 1200 ACRUS in September, regardless of the difference with July, you will earn the maximum Bonus of €10 000. This is not additional to the new active users table above.

The eligible period for this promotion: from September 1st 2008 to September 30th 2008.
Reference period fro this promotion: from July 1st 2008 to July 31st 2008.

These conditions apply to both existing publishers of the eBay Fr program on eBay Partner Network, and new publishers joining the program before October 1st. For new publishers, every qualifying transaction generated in September will be considered as additional.

Examples:

Example 1: Publisher already registered to the FR program on ePN before July 31st.

• July 2008 : You have generated 50 new ACRUs and 500 first Bid/BIN.
• September 2008 : You generate 100 new ACRUs and 1500 first Bid/BIN
• For new ACRUs, you've increased your performance by (100-50=) 50, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €500.
• For first Bid/BIN, you've increased your performance by (1500-500=) 1000, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €200.
• Your Total Bonus for September will be: €200 + €500 = €700!

Example 2: already registered to the FR program on ePN before July 31st, reaching the threshold of 1200 new ACRUs :

• July 2008 : You have generated 500 new ACRUs and 2000 first Bid/BIN.
• September 2008, You generate 1200 new ACRUs and 5000 first Bid/BIN!
• For new ACRUs, you've reach the threshold of 1200 ACRUs, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €10 000. this is decorrelated from the increase in ACRUs between July and September.
• For first Bid/BIN, you've increased your performance by (5000-2000=) 3000, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €500.
• Your Total Bonus for September will be: €10000 + €500 = €10500!

Example 3 : New publisher of the eBay Fr program on eBay partner Network, joining the program after August 1st , 2008.

• July 2008, you were not yet registered to the eBay Fr program on eBay partner Network
• September 2008, you generate 500 new ACRUs and 2000 first Bid/BIN
• For new ACRUs, you've increased your performance by (500-0=) 500, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €2000.
• First Bid/BIN, you've increased your performance by (2000-0=) 2000, you will earn the corresponding Bonus of €500.
• Your Total Bonus for September will be: €10000 + €500 = €10500!

No need to get in touch with us to be eligible for the bonus - you're already automatically included. The bonuses you earn will not show up in your account but will be paid out in October 2008.

New Value Based Pricing for US Program

Dear Ricky Kimble Sr, As part of our ongoing effort to reward our best marketing partners and promote trusted commerce on eBay, we are implementing a new pricing structure for Active Confirmed Registered User (ACRU) compensation. The new pricing scheme is based on quality, instead of just volume, and will reward top publishers with up to $50 per ACRU driven to eBay. Starting today, August 1st, new publishers that join the eBay Partner Network will be placed in this new quality-based pricing structure for the US program. All publishers that joined eBay Partner Network before August 1st will remain in the existing pricing tiers for a few more months so you can have time to look at the data and see how the change will affect you. As of November 1st, all publishers will be placed in the value based pricing structure for ACRUs. Here's how it will work. Each publisher will be placed in a quality tier at the end of each month based on that month's and historical traffic. The tiers will range from $1 to $50, and the higher the expected lifetime value of the customers a publisher sends, the higher the tier the publisher will receive. We expect that most affiliates with a history of driving good, consistent traffic won't see a lot of variability from month to month. Publishers that join after August 1st will be able to see what tier they fall in by going to the programs tab and selecting payments structure for the US program. This tier will be updated on the 9th of each month and will reflect the score for the previous month. The tier will be 0 for the first month while we calculate your first score. Note that your ACRU earnings in your reports will reflect this tier. If you joined before August 1st, you will continue to only see the same volume-based tiers for now. In September we will release a new separate report that will allow all publishers to break down, by campaign, the quality of the ACRUs you are driving to eBay. We will send more details about this report in a few weeks. Please note that this change only affects compensation for new user registrations (ACRUs). Payouts for revenue share will continue on the same volume-based tiers for both new and old users. While the current change only affects the US eBay program on eBay Partner Network, we are evaluating this system on a country by country basis and will provide additional updates as they become available.
